1.The Finding And Selection Of Profitable Topics.(markets/niches online).
2.Creation Of Webpages(webcontent creation).
3.Traffic Generation.
These are the three most important things in affiliate marketing. They are what you're going to do quite nicely to get on track - let's take closer looks into each one of them:
Finding and selecting a profitable topic:Like you were out on an expedition say fishing. Naturally common sense tells you to locate spots on the river where plenty of fish at! You're in for a great catch if you find such rivers. The same is goes in affiliate marketing. You've completed 50% of the whole process when you find profitable topics or rather niches...let's define a profitable niche.
A profitable niche is popular one with good buyers' interests and usually filled with cutthroat competition;the niche is usually popular on search engines, article directories, forums, facebook, twitter etc...speaking about search engines in July 2009 about 113billion searches were made on search engines.By using a keyword research tool we could look into how many thousands of times a niche's keyword is searched for on daily/monthly basis.A very good niche could get up to 300-400 thousand searches in a month globally.Finding profitable niches means conducting research and sometimes it can be tiring.
But of course you can download some profitable niches for free! Using FilesTube;just type in profitable niches and download it.
(note:you don't need to be an expert in any niche to make money with it).
Creation of webpages: This is vital! I always hear people ask a lot if they need to be a William Shakespeare(great writer!) or a Bill Gates(technical guru!) to get this done...the answer is somewhat in the middle even though you hear people tell people they don't need to be the both. But I'll say while you don't need to be a great writer you definitely learn great online writing that sells -there are sites online like CopyBlogger that could teach for free or a small fee good writing techniques...if your spelling and grammatical accuracies are good then you're on your way.And as for being "techie";why not? You've got google at your fingertips for any technical assistance you may need!

Traffic Generation:Your traffic generation technique determines how much you earn. Now there are several ways to generate traffic but in this post I'll mention 4 major ways. Here's the list from the best to the least(1,2,3,4):
1.Outsourcing
2.Pay per click(ppc)
3.Search engines' traffic
4.Article Marketing
Outsourcing:It's the best way ever to do it but few know it and few use it!(you just got let in on the biggest traffic generation technique ever).Using this technique alone fetches as much as $15,000 a month - it's mostly employed by superaffiliates who make $100,000 a year;a website is created about or angled at a product solution to customers needs/problem.(it's only in profitable niches you get the chance of selling products to peoples' problems)...then the "buyers" traffic is outsourced by getting professionals to do it.It's so effective but like PPC it's expensive.$2,000 was the fee for making as much as $15,000.
Don't let that get in your way even if you're on a shoelace budget because the best of us started out on free traffic methods like 3 and 4...
If you do a research on Wikipedia about affiliate marketing you'd find out that they say an affiliate marketer makes at least $10,000 a month using 3 and 4 traffic methods but that's only on paper! In real life it's not easy but it's greatly possible - I don't see any newbie making $10;000 in his first month without going through the learning curve - lots of articles to read, many hours spent online etc
If you can't make 10 thousand in your first month;you can surely make a 2-3 thousand! And now for the 3 free giveaways....
Right here on this blog you'll get three best ever money making giveaways. And they are:
1.How to make $2,000plus monthly from just 1 webpage.
2.Top secret niche with a video, pdf guides in which are articles for your contents etc.
3.A twitter plug in + a ranking plug in;you could go traffic autopilot with this thing!
...all for free.Let's go
How to make $2,000plus monthly from just 1 webpage.
This is by far no interesting information but a useful one.People pay a few hundred dollars to know this on seminars, memberships' websites etc, even on Clickbank an ebook on this goes for $37 - what does this entails anyway? This is called marketing on search engines. You're going to learn how a single webpage you create could turn into a cashflow asset.
These is the same strategy for $10,000 a month but only you'll be creating more instead of just one webpage.(can you handle that? We shall see!).
Like the name "marketing on search engines" implies our traffic would come from search engines, google especially....When people go on google, what they only do is search, they search with brand keywords, single keywords and phrases which is called the longtail keywords - google would every time return to them webpages in search results that are highly relevant/related to their search queries...
This means we can own a single webpage if not more google could refer to searchers...let's go deeper still with market keyword research...
Market Keyword Research...
This is a huge topic on its own but we'll only go over the basics that would help us get to $2000plus monthly. So in ideal sense what do you think we're looking for? What we are looking for actually in any given online niche is high "niche keyword" popularity and low level of serious traffic or in other words:
- Popularity means:how often a keyword is searched with on search engines.
- Competition means:the measure of how hard it is to beat other websites competing for a keyword.
Take a look at this:
This is the credit card market online,it gets 2,740,000 searches per month which is very good but the problem is cut throat competition. If you were trying to make money with this market online your webpage is going to have to compete against 170 million pages which is impossible.Your web page will be lost in the millions of others before you know it and all your marketing efforts will be in vain.
But look at this below:
...Only 622 results!! It could take you hours,a few days to beat that low level competition to the punch(the top of Google's search results' page). This is we called micro niche marketing. You target relatively high popularity niche keywords with low level competition. The keyword "credit card" is called the "head" keyword or the "short tail" keyword while the keywords "credit card for students with bad credits" is called the "long tail" keyword. So in essence what you do to make money online is longtail marketing.Forget about the head keyword, target the long tails which are usually overlooked by major competitors and guess what? They are profitable!!
Here's an idea of a profitable niche;this is a graph of the number of searches per month against the number of competing pages.A profitable niche that's going to make you money has to have good number of searches per month(i.e good number of searches on search engines) and low level of serious competing pages.I've said that over and over right?Look at the graph and you can see that 5000 searches or more per month against 10,000 to 19,999 competing webpages means excellent. That depicts a profitable niche.
Now look below and see a not so profitable niche:
Sometimes you get online markets/niches that are much worse with over 300 million competing pages. But on the other hand you're to going to need such markets to be completely competitive(full of competing pages). You don't need to fear the competition, they'll help you make money! That's why you must use a keyword research tool. There's a free one from Google but let me be the first to tell you if you haven't heard that sadly it sucks! - due to it's inability to mine profitable online niches and generate longtail keywords.IAnyways I use Niche Finder, there are others like Market Samurai,Micro Niche Finder and the world class Wordtracker. Most of us even use two which is either the Market Samurai and Micro Niche Finder or Market Samurai and Niche Finder.Because Market Samurai is more of a competitive analysis tool. They are all fairly inexpensive compared to Wordtracker.Just $97.For now you can use just one,I'll like to recommend the Niche Finder. It was created by Brad Callen,an online entrepreneur.Among other nice benefits it has is that it's a one time payment with no recurring fee like the others.
Let's See An Example Using My Niche Finder Tool.
Using Niche Finder you can split your chosen market to mine profitable niches and generate longtail keywords.Look at the image below, that's Niche Finder's(NF) interface...
- chocolate recipes - german chocolate recipes - chocolate dessert recipes
- chocolate mousse - chocolate pie - chocolate cookie recipes
To mention a few.All of the above aren't long tail keywords(long tail keywords are the most profitable). They are just relevant profitable keywords. Now I'll narrow or focus my marketing efforts by clicking on a relevant keyword that came up with the green button.I want to mine some long tail keywords and see an estimate of daily searches which means how many visitors or BUYERS I could get if I use that keyword on my webpage. So I clicked on chocolate cookie recipe 'cos it gave me the green light.See some profitable longtails it generated:
- oatmeal chocolate chip cookie recipe - best chocolate chip cookie recipe ever
- chocolate chip cookie recipe oatmeal oats - whole grain oatmeal chocolate chip cookie recipe
These are what we call long tails, can't you see that they're like a tail attached the head keyword chocolate. They are what my clients use while they search on search engines.I calculated the monthly searches and all together I could get up to 50 unique visitors(some buyers too) from search engines to my webpage.(For any future help you may need about the NF tool you join WarriorForum Brad Callen is there 24/7 to attend to you.)
Creating Webpages,Linking Webpages And Search Engine Optimization(SEO).
CAUTION: This is a very important task.Keep distractions away!
When I first got started a few years back. The ones who taught me about creating webpages did their very best to make it look so simple(I's given only a few crappy details!)And that didn't help, you see, they did that so I wouldn't get discourage by the reason of too much work because creating webpages, linking them up and S.E.O would get you out of the comfort zone so to speak! I'm not going to do that here - give you few details that I know don't work.Get ready to be challenged.Don't panic now it isn't rocket science!
You must be asking - what am I going to write about? How am I going to write it(your webpage). And probably because you're no expert in the niche you've chosen...so you're still asking how am I going to know what to write about anyways? No need to worry, just follow:
Here are the objectives:
1.Firstly;we'll look at seo and linking up webpages.
2.Then the creation of webpages(web content).
What is S.E.O:now seo is the art and science of increasing/optimizing the visibility of a webpage(s) on search engines. For instance if I got a webpage about say "chocolate recipes" .I'd want it to be on top spots(1st,2nd,3rd are good) on search engine any time the keyword "chocolate recipes" is searched for...here some good old cliches:
the higher you(your webpage) are in the search engines,
the more traffic you get,
the more traffic you get - the more people click on your offers,
the more people click on your offers - the more money you make;you grab!
So seo strategies is aimed at getting you to the top on the first page of google for the keywords you're targeting.
Seo strategies are in two forms which are:the first has to do with keywords on your page.(you must use the same keyword people use in searching out things on your webpage). And the other is linking building.
Seo Keywords:It'll be a complete waste of time if the search terms people use to search on google aren't found on your page. These are places to use keywords - URL,title tags, heading H1 and H2 and the body. For example I'm selling "chocolate recipes".That keyword "chocolate recipes" has to be in the URL as in.In the title, headings and must be sprinkled in the body of the webpage. Here's an illustration - I could use www.choicechocolaterecipes.com and what if I's using web2.0s like squidoo. It'll be www.squidoo.com/choice-chocolate- recipes.
Link Building:In an article by Gareth Davies(top seo consultant). He said that link building accounts for 90% of seo success(getting to the top).Once your on-page keywords are set then you're ready to build links.
...Google Ranking System - there are several billions of websites and webpages online and each one them have their target keywords which is what they are in business for in the first place. You agree there are websites for electronics, sports, weight loss etc.Now google would rank a page on top spots for two obvious reasons. They are:
1.The keywords on the webpage related to the search query.
2.Then the quality and number of links(backlinks) linking to that webpage.
...when a searcher searches say "chocolate recipes".Gooooogle would return webpages/websites from top to bottom as the search results. The top spots webpages on the search results are the best webpages extremely related/relevant to "chocolate recipes".
The best webpages are mostly the ones with greater number and quality of links.
In essence if I created my www.choicechocolaterecipes.com.When google bots or crawlers comes crawling. They'd check for all these below in order to know how to rank it when people search for "chocolate recipes".
1.The keywords on my url, title, headings and body.
2.The number of sites linking to me
3.The pagerank of those sites linking to me
4.The text in the links that points to me
5.How relevant(closely related) are the linking sites to me.
Adopting A Keyword Strategy And A Backlink Strategy:As you should know you can drill profitable keywords from NicheFinder which you'll use as webcontent ideas. And as spoken earlier link building(backlink strategy) accounts for 90% of seo success. Not that you shouldn't create meaningful articles - come to think of it even if you're ranked no1 for your keyword and your webcontent can't convert the traffic into sales then it'd be all in vain. We'll talk about ideas for webcontent next.
Building Backlinks With Social Media Sites,Article Directories,Blogs,Forums etc :There are two types of links - outbound links which are links from webpages of a single domain(website). And links from domains - additional links from multiple webpages of the same domain carries not much search engine benefit but can be useful for traffics though.Try to get links from different domains.

2.Yahoo buzz
3.Reddit (do follow)
4.Stumbleupon
5.de.li.cious
6.Mixx (do follow)
7.Technorati (do follow)
These first seven are top S.B.S but are "no follw" except where stated in front.("no follow" links bring no search engine benefit but they are still useful for traffic)The rest are all "do follow"

Article Directories:They are where you can write articles for publishing. In return for the article you've written. You get a link back to your page which carries good search engine benefit. You can do a google search to get a whole list of them. There's also a free articlesubmitter software you'd google called articlehelper. With just one article you'd get many backlinks from different
Blogs:By providing useful and insightful comments on blogs. You could get a backlink by dropping your link there.Make sure they are"do follow" blogs. You can search out "do follow" blogs using GoogleCustomSearch Just search using your niche's keywords.
Forums:You could also drop links here by commenting.Just be useful. And again forums can be used to look into your niche's problems.Which could help in generating content idea.Use BoaredReader to find forums about your niche.
And that's that about the backlink strategy. It's time to create those webpages.
Creating The Webpages:As you already know,I'm in the business for "chocolate recipes".And so I've got my keyword - chocolate recipes for my keyword strategy. And of course my nichefinder tool would drill through to mine out profitable longtail keywords.Every thing is set!
Now there are two methods you can use - a much simpler one and little bit technical one.Let's get over the technical one first.
-Using blogger.com or bravehost.com
For my little chocolate recipe business I'd love to buy a domain name but since my budget is below par.I'll take my chances with sub-domains - blogger and bravehost as in- www.choicechocolaterecipes.bravehost.com or -blogger.com.Now the first thing I'll do is drill the chocolate recipes keyword to mine out profitable related and longtail keywords - it's very important you have a keyword research tool. Here's a few of what it generated:
-chocolate dessert recipes
-chocolate candy recipes
-chocolate ganache recipes
Now from above we see related terms all under chocolate recipes, right? So I'll create a nicely written article,5000 words or more. The url will be www.choicechocolaterecipes.bravehost.com and the title could be say "Choice Concise Chocolate Recipes"-pretty cool huh? The webpage is going to have sections, categories all about the three types of chocolate recipes. This is much work but the returns will be great. My site is going to have good graphics, flashy pictures,if possible videos and not forget list of my affiliated chocolate recipes books for sale too - just to make it look professional.
Using my nichefinder tool I'll drill each keyword to mine longtail keywords which I'd use on my web2.0s.
-chocolate dessert recipes could be used on Hubpages.
-chocolate candy recipes could be used on Squidoo.
-chocolate ganache recipes could be used on Wetpaint.
For example here are two "dessert" longtail keywords I can promote on hubpages.
-low fat chocolate recipes
-orange and chocolate dessert recipe
Quickly I could write 300-400 words article with the product offer about orange and chocolate dessert recipe on hubpages and link it directly to my main site.I'm doing two things at the same time now - I'm meeting immediate needs by targeting longtail keywords with web2.0s and also building backlinks for my site www.choicechocolaterecipes.bravehost.com.I'm making money selling chocolate recipes through web2.0s and by the time my site hits number 1 spot on google when chocolate recipes is searched I could get a burst of sales!
I make sure all my longtail keywords posts are bookmarked on social media sites. You need to keep writing maybe three posts on different longtail keywords per day.One post for one web2.0s goes to one social bookmarking site repectively. As for the first simpler method you'll not create a 5000 words article on bravehost.com just target longtail keywords and post it on web2.0s,also add it on social bookmarking sites...and lastly where do you get ideas for content?
Getting Ideas For Content:creativity is in all of us but it needs to be stimulated. One way to stimulate content ideas creativity is by looking at your competitors data/strategy.
The question now is who are your competitors? Who are they? They are the websites and webpages who competes for the same keywords that you do.
For example my competitors are those targeting chocolate recipes and on the longtail keyword level those targeting orange and chocolate dessert recipe.I'd google "orange and chocolate dessert recipe" to see who is ranked first, second and third.Visits those top ranked sites and see how it's done - see how they make money, what they write about, you could also use a powerful tool from wordtracker. It is a link building tool,it'll help look into competitors data but it isn't compulsory.'Cos you could improvise with alexa.com.
So search them up on alexa.com to see who is linking to them and see their backlink strategy. That's how to stimulate content ideas.
